We wanted a system that was capable of running multiple sites, growing new sites quite quickly and was able to look after the financial transactions which underlay a fairly complicated structure.

About

Healthy Software was launched in 1998 by a management team steeped in a history of medical application software development. It is now part of the Advanced Computer Software Group, an AIM listed company with a market capitalisation of over £150m. We launched our core windows-based clinical management system in 1999, having received Government GP systems accreditation. Since then, our market driven and innovative approach to product development has always been geared to customer requirements first and government regulations second. The result is Crosscare.

Crosscare is a global solution without boundaries; it can be configured to suit any model of healthcare, and our multi-lingual facilities mean it can be used anywhere in the world, so we are not restricted in any way. We're very much clinician led in the products' development, and by engaging the clinician and making their lives easier, the data flows naturally through into all the other parts of the organisation, streamlining it, making it more efficient and ensuring you only do things once.

Crosscare is very much a clinical system, revolving around the patient’s clinical record and having begun its life as a GP system, the addition in 2005 of in-patient and day care handling with a Ward Management module, and Sales Invoicing and Accounting, has led to it becoming a market leader in both the hospice and private practice markets. It is now used widely in GP surgeries throughout the UK, hospices, private practices centred around Harley Street, and in the community.

We've been in the healthcare business long enough to know that, on its own, a great product does not make a market leader, but great support, training and service do.

Healthy Software goes out of its way to provide a personable human interface, placing a strong emphasis on training and education and building an ongoing relationship with its customers.
